ျမန္မာျပည္သူလူထုကုိ အကူအညီေပးေရးအတြက္ ထားရွိေသာ မိမိတုိ႔၏ ကတိကဝတ္မ်ားကုိ ဆက္လက္ အေကာင္အထည္ေဖာ္ေဆာင္သည့္ အေနျဖင့္ အေမရိကန္ျပည္ေထာင္စု ႏုိင္ငံတကာဖြံ႔ၿဖဳိးေရးေအဂ်င္စီ မွ ရခုိင္ျပည္နယ္အတြင္း လုပ္ငန္းအစီအစဥ္တစ္ခုကုိ စတင္လုိက္ၿပီ ျဖစ္ပါသည္။ ဤအစီအစဥ္အားျဖင့္ ရခုိင္ျပည္နယ္အတြင္း ပဋိပကၡေဘးသင့္လူမႈအသုိက္အဝန္းမ်ား၊ ေနရပ္ေျပာင္းေရႊ႕ဒုကၡသည္မ်ားႏွင့္ ဆင္းရဲ ႏြမ္းပါးသူမ်ားအတြက္ အသက္ေမြးဝမ္းေက်ာင္း လုပ္ငန္းမ်ားႏွင့္ ေစာလွ်င္စြာ ျပန္လည္ထူေထာင္ႏိုင္ေရး လုပ္ငန္းမ်ား ေဆာင္ရြက္ရန္ အေမရိကန္ေဒၚလာငါးသန္းကုိ ကူညီပံ့ပုိးသြားမည္ ျဖစ္ပါသည္။ လုပ္ငန္းအစီအစဥ္ ေဆာင္ရြက္ လာႏုိင္သည္ႏွင့္အမွ် အိမ္ေထာင္စု ၉,၀၀၀ သုိ႔မဟုတ္ လူဦးေရ ၄၅,၀၀၀ ခန္႔မွာ အေျခခံ ဝန္ေဆာင္မႈမ်ား၊ ေစ်းကြက္၊ အေျခခံ အေဆာက္အအုံ ႏွင့္ စီးပြားေရးအခြင့္အလမ္းမ်ားကုိ ပုိမုိလက္လွမ္းမီွ လာမည္ကုိ ျမင္ေတြ႔ရမွာ ျဖစ္ပါသည္။

ရခုိင္ျပည္နယ္အတြင္းရွိ လူမႈအသုိက္အဝန္းမ်ားသည္ ၎တုိ႔ကုိယ္တုိင္ မိမိတုိ႔၏ လုိအပ္ခ်က္မ်ားႏွင့္ အေရးတႀကီးဦးစားေပးလုပ္ေဆာင္ရမည့္ က႑မ်ားကုိ ေဖာ္ထုတ္ၿပီး ျပန္လည္ထူေထာင္ေရးလုပ္ငန္းမ်ားကုိ ဦးစီးေဖာ္ေဆာင္ရမည္ျဖစ္ပါသည္။ ဤအခ်က္သည္ အေမရိကန္ျပည္ေထာင္စု ႏုိင္ငံတကာဖြံ႔ၿဖဳိးေရးေအဂ်င္စီက ခ်မွတ္၍ ကမၻာတစ္ဝန္း၌ ေဖာ္ေဆာင္ေနသည့္ ခြဲျခားဆက္ဆံမႈမရွိျခင္း၊ အားလုံးပါဝင္ႏုိင္ျခင္း၊ ပြင္လင္း ျမင္သာမႈရွိျခင္း၊ တာဝန္ခံမႈရွိျခင္း ႏွင့္ အရပ္ဘက္စြမ္းေဆာင္ရည္ ျမွင့္တင္ေပးျခင္း၊ ေဒသတြင္း အေျခအေန မ်ားကုိ အသိေပး ေလးစားလုိက္နာ ေဆာင္ရြက္ျခင္း စသည့္မူမ်ားႏွင့္လည္း ကုိက္ညီမႈရွိပါသည္။

ရခုိင္ျပည္နယ္အတြင္းရွိ လူ႔အသုိက္အဝန္းမ်ားအားလုံး၏ လူေနမႈဘဝအရည္အေသြးမ်ား တုိးတက္ေရးအတြက္ အေမရိကန္သံရုံးက ႏိုင္ငံတကာအဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ားႏွင့္ အနီးကပ္ပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ရွိပါသည္။ ဤသုိ႔ ေဖာ္ေဆာင္ရာတြင္ စီးပြားေရးအခြင့္အလမ္းမ်ား ဖန္တီးေပးျခင္း၊ အေျခခံ အေဆာက္အအုံမ်ား တုိးတက္ေအာင္ ေဆာင္ရြက္ေပးျခင္း၊ ပညာေရးအခြင့္အလမ္းမ်ား တုိးခ်ဲ႕ျမွင့္တင္ေပးျခင္း၊ အားလုံးအတြက္ က်န္းမာေရးႏွင့္ အသက္ေမြးဝမ္းေက်ာင္းမႈ အခြင့္အေရးမ်ား ပံ့ပုိးေပးျခင္းတုိ႔အျပင္ လူ႔အသုိက္အဝန္းမ်ားအၾကား ယုံၾကည္မႈ တည္ေဆာက္ေရးတြင္ ပါဝင္ကူညီ ေဆာင္ရြက္ေပးျခင္းတုိ႔လည္း လုိအပ္ပါသည္။

ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံသားအားလုံး၏ အလားအလာေကာင္းမ်ားစြာကုိ အျပည့္အဝ အေကာင္အထည္ေဖာ္ႏုိင္ေရးအတြက္ ကူညီအားေပးႏုိင္ရန္ အေမရိကန္ျပည္ေထာင္စု ႏုိင္ငံတကာဖြံ႔ၿဖဳိးေရးေအဂ်င္စီသည္ အျခားေသာ ျပည္တြင္း ႏွင့္ ႏိုင္ငံတကာ အလွဴရွင္ အဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ားႏွင့္ အနီးကပ္ ပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ရွိပါသည္။

U. S. Embassy Announces $5 Million Assistance for Communities in Rakhine State

As part of our ongoing commitment to the people of Myanmar, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has begun a program in Rakhine State to provide $5 million to support livelihoods and early recovery to communities affected by conflict, displacement, and extreme poverty.  Over time, about 9,000 households, or roughly 45,000 people, will see improved access to basic services, markets, infrastructure and economic opportunity.

Communities in Rakhine State themselves will lead the recovery effort, identifying their own needs and priorities.  This is consistent with USAID’s operating principles around the world of non-discrimination, inclusivity, transparency, accountability, and civic empowerment, informed and respectful of local conditions. 

The U.S. Embassy is working closely with the international community to improve the quality of life of all communities in Rakhine State. This will require creating economic opportunity and development; improving basic infrastructure; developing and expanding access to education, health and livelihoods for all; and facilitating trust building between communities.

USAID will also continue to work closely with other domestic and international donor agencies to support the people of this country to fully realize their enormous potential.
